The Quiet Village is a one-day “anti-festival” of ambient music held in and around the Village of New Paltz, located in the Hudson Valley region of New York. QV promotes serious ambient electronic music composers and sound artists, presenting environmental music in an outdoor setting that bypasses the traditional concert format and gallery installation paradigm.
